Today I got some beautiful wallpaper samples sent through from Sanderson, the heritage wallpaper and print company, to start developing a body of research and context in preparation for designing for print throughout the collaborative Laura Ashley S/S 2013 Home Interiors Collection Brief with Steph Lawson.
After agreeing to work on kitchen interiors and kitchenware, for the vast range of design opportunities and surfaces made available to us, I decided to opt for wallpaper which I felt would work well in this environment, be it as a feature wall, or all walls coated, and within the existing Laura Ashley design range.
I particularly like the colourful fruit pattern, which I'll definitely put forward as a source of design inspiration in our next meeting for it's vibrant colours and subject matter that would both perfectly suit the kitchen environment, and the season of the branded range itself.
