Leeds College of Art Year Book | Content & Shoot

This morning, to add to the content of the proposal pitch for the Yearbook, I photographed Kirsty Alderson and Kirsty Hardingham for their student profile pages, which we have proposed to shoot in black and white for stark contrast to the bright colours of the 'play', and playfulness of the publication, and adhering to the more corporate, monochromatic 'work' aesthetic used throughout.

With little time in the morning, we worked on something really simple, fun, and reflective of the personality. We would propose that the images would be shot by a professional photographer in a studio environment (with studio lighting... a beauty dish and medium-format camera).

After the quick shoot and a few edits in regards to aesthetic detail and lighting, the simple images were ready, although, as aforementioned, would be vastly improved with studio facilities and a more professional eye than my own.
