FMP | Narrative Photography

Throughout the Geek Table Collective design weeks (whereupon we will each build up our portfolios with a chosen theme within our Graphic Design working experience each week / fortnight), I really hope to build up a diverse and varied portfolio and body of work, taking inspiration from the Image module (as run by tutor, Amber, in the second year of the course), as well as potentially making commercial work for the online and high street stores of which I have the privilege to currently sell my work in.

One area of image - making I haven't really given myself the opportunity to explore throughout the course in an applied Graphic Design way, is photography. Throughout my HE at College, I specialised in both Illustration and 35mm and portraiture photography, and still have a great passion and love for both, particularly the latter.

As shown above and below are some of my favourite past and present contemporary portraiture photographers (freelancers) that demonstrate an innovative, conceptual and narrative - driven design, something that would be essential in the visual communication of my own photography work, should I pursue this as a medium to present my concepts and design outcomes throughout the brief.

Photographers include: 'Lissy Elle', Rosie Hardy, Alex Stoddard and 'Oprisco'.
