FMP | Nex Architecture

Another source of inspiration noted by Alex for his personal branding and brand mark (and for my contextual research) is Architectural design studio, Nex. Again, much like the Heatherwick Studios and Sarah Wigglesworth Architecture Studios respectively, the brand mark is typographically-led, this time with a little more of a future-inspired sans serif design, reminiscent of a "space age" type, which is particularly reflective of their portfolio.

Although the type within the brand mark does effectively visually communicate the portfolio and design practice of Nex, this type of brand mark, I feel, is one that could potentially age quite quickly, adhering to a particular trend of the time, and not necessarily looking classically professional, like the other two previously referenced studios (above).

This is something that I will certainly prioritise and take full consideration with when designing Alex's own brand mark to ensure it is a logo that he could feel comfortable using for years, and not months, to make for a reflective and adaptable style, as his portfolio, undoubtedly, will also be.
