FMP | Publico Branding

www.ineo.dk/projekter/kunde/publico

This morning, whilst browsing Tumblr, I stumbled upon the branding for Publico, by Danish design studio, Ineo Designlab, and felt it was a great example of contextual research for a potential design direction for the Alex Warren Architectural Design brief.

Alex has already stated his desire to develop a typographically- lead brand logo and brand mark, which, I have found from past experience, can often be a lot more challenging in terms of portraying character and personality, from my design experience, than an image- based logo, although, of course, it is achievable.

One method of adding and applying more character or conceptual thinking to his branding deliverables, such as this demonstration through the Publico outcomes, could be through the application of colour and combination or using varied and diverse materials, potentially relative to his practice (e.g. sustainably sourced/recycled/visually communicating or, indeed using, materials that he is familiar and utilises throughout his portfolio, etc).

This will certainly be something interesting to discuss with Alex in our next meetings, and hopefully we can work together to produce a range of products that reflect his professional and ambitious attitude, and his high level of skill and creativity, as demonstrated throughout his working portfolio.
