FMP | Acme Architecture

Another source of inspiration for Alex's design practice, particularly focusing on his web design and branding deliverables to be designed and produced, Acme Architecture, once again, utilises a simple, serif based type (though will quite unusual letterforms and typographic anatomy which ensure that a distinct and recognisable character is portrayed) and a monochromatic colour palette throughout both the website and branding to ensure that the portfolio "does the talking" in a low - key, minimalistic design.

I am quite fond of the clean, and professional (yet unique) typographic branding, but the website itself, despite being positive (in terms of inspiration for Alex's own work) in regards to it's clear yet narrative - driven articles, is very difficult to navigate, almost impossible to see two stories or articles at once on a small 13" screen with the centre - aligned vertical navigation bar. This will definitely be something to take into strong consideration when developing Alex's own portfolio website, purely to ensure that potential clients or prospective employees are not put off or simply distracted from the work due to difficulties in the way it's viewed.
