FMP | Steph Laura Ashley Development Work

In the past week, Steph has been developing some initial drawings for the potential design development of our horticulturally-inspired flora and fauna range for the hypothetical Laura Ashley S/S 2013 Home Interiors Collection brief.

In order for me to develop the character and understanding of the brief branding and logo mark, in particular (as comes with working collaboratively), Steph has begun developing some watercolour images inspired by our theme of purple/pink British flowers.

The images shown above and below are her early stage developments, that we discussed, and really like the design direction of, with a bold watercolour style and a really bright, Spring - like colour palette of pink and green, which I feel would work really well over a range of textile items in situ of a living room environment. Hopefully now I can go on to develop the branded print items, as well as considering the initial stages of the design for the lookbook editorial publication.
