Whilst researching marbling techniques this evening, I came across a blog (source link above) which showed some stunning examples of marble printing through a workshop induction, including a particular favourite, in which the designer printed onto the spine of a book, shown above, with stunning results.
Although, of course, the proficiency, skill, and experience of the designer and workshop team is evident, I feel really inspired by the designs, and the wonderful variations that we could achieve through the design development stages. I'm really looking forward to developing some designs together, and hopefully coming up with something really beautiful, and that, most importantly, will be both really admired, and visually appropriate for the printed textiles programme leaders and it's students.
