FMP | La Petit Macaron Design Development to Date

Design work to date shown above, not to scale for the purposes of legibility.

This evening I spent a few hours on the further developments for the La Petit Macaron brief.

Last week, whilst working on an internship with freelance designer and friend, Mark Howe, he very kindly offered me the opportunity to crit my work, offering regular contact and feedback towards my personal and professional design development. As a real motivation to get work to him this week, I powered through designing the integral packaging and the initial brand stationary (business cards and lined envelopes, with letterheads still to come) to start pulling together a substantial body of design, which I feel has been efficiently produced, and to a consistently considered, visually communicative style.

As previously mentioned, I have begun to look at the application and integration of polka dot print into the design, and have found that it works really well as a subtle, yet fun and playful design, which I think works very successfully for the gift range sets and packaging. For me, packaging design is something relatively new, and, of course exciting.

I look forward to hopefully getting some constructive feedback from Mark, and going on to develop the design further, along with constructing all important models and nets for the packaging design deliverables.
