This afternoon I finally got some time to work on the WedThings Hannah Crowson Wedding Planner & Decoration brief, after a long hiatus.
With the client also no longer working at her employment, it's given the opportunity for her to channel her energy into the business, gaining clients, and also, having the opportunity for the two of us to work together more.
Along with getting the ball rolling in terms of printing and producing brand stationary (logo stamp for boxes and decoration), I also had a re-consideration for the application of the branding.
Since we last worked together, the stationary was not very well developed, only just starting to look at stocks and materials, but not particularly having a sense of the brand or it's character.
Today, I had a bit of a brainwave to utilise the 'Things' in 'WedThings' to apply over the range of deliverables throughout both online social media and brand stationary, including the use of phrases such as 'Business Things', 'Pinned Things', 'Blogged Things', etc. Although a simple idea, I think it adds a great deal more character and expresses a more creative and playful side to the business, whilst still maintaining a consistency and professionalism which I think it key for the business to continue to grow.
