FMP | 01|02|13 Geek Table Meeting

Notes from today's Geek Table Collective meeting with Kirsty Hardingham, Baljeet Samra, Beth Yates, Claudia Griffin, Kirsty Alderson and myself (Sophie Wilson).

NOTES

- geektable.tumblr.com now set up, Beth will primarily be in charge of updating tumblr, both with our own work, and the inspiration / work of others.
- thegeektable.gmail.com set up for email address.
- @geektable twitter account set up.

- Brand all media as 'Geek Table' or 'The Geek Table' if domains unavailable, etc. Glasses logo (Kirsty H) was square icons on Twitter, Tumblr, etc.

EXHIBITION

- Last night (Fedrigoni Exhibition... to be blogged) we discussed the notion of creating an exhibition theme to represent US and our education and lessons learnt from design, where we are now, and where we want to be... doesn't have to represent Uni, but can still very effectively communicate Graphic Design (more of a natural interest for industry and members of the GD industry to attend).
- Generate themes/words/phrases (including a "wall of shame" quotes from infamous scenarios, difficult clients, etc.)

TO DO

Next meeting, provisional date and time of 11th February, 11am.

- Develop branding and apply to all online / web - based media.
- Send all Tumblr accounts of inspiration / to follow to Beth via Geek Table.
- Start researching design for ourselves... quotes / themes for 'What we've Learnt' and the 'Wall of Shame'.

- CHASE UP WHITE CLOTH GALLERY RE EXHIBITION SPACE.
